The Robbins Firm recently represented a German yacht manufacturer in a dispute against its former U.S. dealer who had filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The bankruptcy proceedings involved novel questions regarding the enforceability of right-of-retention agreements and international forum selection clauses in bankruptcy proceedings as well as a two-day evidentiary hearing on our client’s Motion for Trustee.  After extensive litigation, the Robbins Firm was able to secure a highly favorable settlement for its client pursuant to which its former U.S. dealer dismissed all of its claims against our client, and our client recovered $1.1 million from the bankruptcy estate.
