Firm Helps Client Obtain Important Settlement with DOT

Robbins Firm attorneys Richard Robbins, Jason Alloy and Daniel Monahan recently helped a client achieve an important condemnation settlement with the Georgia Department of Transportation.  As initially contemplated by the DOT, the condemnation would have stopped the firm’s client, a national business with operations in Georgia, from being able to execute design plans to construct a rail track expansion.  The track expansion is critical to the client’s regional supply chain growth and is intended to deliver significant added value enterprise-wide.

Recognizing the business importance of the planned expansion, the firm fostered a collaborative settlement environment, bringing together the parties, neighboring property interests, and engineering experts to analyze potential solutions.  Through these efforts, the parties were able to reach a settlement that harmonizes the projects and allows each to move forward together within the condemnation area.
