Ryan graduated from the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the Terry College of Business. He then attended and earned his J.D. from Mercer University School of Law in 2023, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors and in the top 10 of his class. During law school, he was a member of Mercer’s Law Review and Mercer’s Negotiations Competition Team. As a part of these organizations, he had his article, The Objection Exception is Overruled! The Georgia Supreme Court Makes a Course Correction by Reviving the Contemporaneous Objection Rule, MERCER L. REV.: Vol. 73: No. 3, Article 18, published in 2022, and he competed in the 2022 ABA National Negotiations Competition, where he and his teammates were crowned the 2022 National Champions out of hundreds of competing schools.
He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in his Mergers & Acquisitions Class (having the highest grade in the class), completed and received Mercer’s Advanced Writing Certificate, and was on the Dean’s List every semester of law school. While doing so, he also interned with Judge Elizabeth Gobeil at the Court of Appeals of Georgia and externed with the Rockdale County District Attorney’s Office.
