Vincent Russo has been named to the Secure Accessible Fair Elections Commission by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.  Russo will represent the Georgia Republican Party on the bipartisan commission.  He currently serves as the Party’s Deputy General Counsel.  The Commission was established in April to study technologies for Georgia’s next voting system.  The SAFE Commission will conduct feasibility studies on hand-marked paper ballots as well as electronic machines with a voter-verified paper trail to help determine which voting solution best fits the needs of the state. Members will also conduct cost analyses of market options and research post-election audit procedures.  The Commission’s findings will be presented to the Georgia General Assembly in advance of the next legislative session.
